Petting
Let her catch up, then wiggle the cursor over her: squinty happy eyes, blushing cheeks, hearts. A full petting bar earns a happy quack.
Feeding
Double-click anywhere on this page to toss bread crumbs into the water. She swims over and picks them up one by one, and the ducklings join in. Just don't overfeed her.
Reading along
Type into a text field and she watches the field instead of the cursor, and won't doze off. She only knows that you type, never what.
Selection snack
Select text near her and she nibbles at the edge of the selection. She sees where the text is, never what it says.

Music & video
When a video or a song with sound plays on the page, she dances along and the ducklings bob to the beat. Every now and then a disco ball drops in and the whole family goes wild.

Napping
After a while of quiet she tucks her head into her feathers. Zzz. When you're back she wakes up with a “!”. At night she gets sleepy sooner and dreams in little stars.
Fish hunt
Every now and then a fish shadow passes below the surface. She spots it, chases it, snaps, and doesn't always get it. The popup counts her catches.
Visitors & shore leave
Every few minutes a wild duck swims by for a quack duet and a synchronized little dance. Now and then she climbs out of the water and waddles a proud circle across the page.
Ducklings
Up to six ducklings paddle in a row behind her, with their own little animations. When mama gets sleepy she tucks them into a nest first.
Wardrobe
14 hats and 5 pairs of glasses for any model, each unlocked by an achievement: top hat, crown, halo, ninja mask, sunglasses, monocle and more.
Achievements
60 badges in bronze, silver, gold and diamond, from petting fan through “Identity crisis” to the 30-day “Regular”. Every badge tells you how to earn it.
Focus mode & calm mode
On password fields and fullscreen videos she steps aside. With “reduce motion” enabled in your system she skips pirouettes, dancing and the disco ball.
Touch
On touchscreens she follows your finger. Tap her to quack, double-tap to flap, double-tap the water to feed.

The only things this site remembers are your language, your day-or-night choice and the ideas you tossed crumbs at, stored in your own browser. The wishing pond is the one exception to the no-third-party rule: the first time you vote or submit, Cloudflare’s Turnstile bot check loads.

Frequently quacked questions.
Does she slow down my browser?
No. She draws on her own canvas layer, detached from the page layout, pauses in background tabs and adapts her resolution on very busy pages.
She's in the way on one site.
Open the popup and choose “Pause on this site”. Alt+Shift+D toggles her everywhere, and the distance slider keeps her off the text you're reading.
Why is she asleep?
After a while without cursor movement she naps, anywhere from 5 to 60 seconds, adjustable in the popup. Move the mouse, scroll hard or play some music and she's back.
Does she see what I type?
Never. A key press is just an activity signal, a selection is just a rectangle on screen, and password fields hide her entirely.
What about Safari?
Not yet. She lives in Chrome, Firefox and Edge, and in Chromium browsers like Brave, Opera or Vivaldi via the Chrome Web Store.
